TAKE A STAND BAG - AND SUPPLY LIST

You may make either size bag in this class. You will need the following things:

Take A Stand Pattern Fabric and notions as indicated on the pattern for the size you are making. Wonder Tape, either 1/4” or 1/8” Wonder Clips,Stiletto, Scissors, Pins, marking pencil, etc. All your favorite sewing notions Thread for topstitching on the bag to match your fabric. A highlighter is helpful for marking things on the pattern you may want to remember.
Optional: An iron and ironing pad

The large bag has an acrylic Base Stabilizer that you can order through us if you are going to carry something heavy like a sewing machine or iron. Give your name to the staff and we will order one for you.

The pattern contains a sheet of labels for your cut pieces. Copies these and cut them out and pin them to their corresponding pieces. It is really very helpful as you will have an assortment of sizes, especially of the contrasting fabric, that are similar.

My sample bags have the Pocket Border (front of bag) out of the lining fabric, not the contrasting. You can also use a piece of a fourth fabric for that (3 1/2 x 12 1/2) ______________________________________________________________

PRIOR TO CLASS YOU MUST:
1) Quilt the pieces indicated in the pattern.
If you do not have this done prior to class you will not get very far on the construction of your bag.
2) Please cut out everything before class, it is necessary to give you more time to sew. If you have any questions cutting out your quilted piece you can do this in class but have all other pieces cut and labeled.
3) Bring all your extra fabric in case of an "opps" cut!! Not that anyone would. __________________________________________________________________
