Block of the Month (BOM)

Block of the Month (BOM) programs are a fun and easy way to make a quilt that is generally a long-term project. By participating in a BOM you have the ability to make some wonderful quilts in "bite size" pieces. Each month a block is kitted with fabric, cutting and sewing instructions to make the block. At the end of the BOM program you simply need to add borders, quilt and bind to have your project completed.

BOMs do require a committment of picking up your block each month and purchasing the kit monthly.

OQB has several Block of the Month projects in place right now. More to come soon. We will post each new BOM project along with costs, number of months and other pertinent information needed.

Orange Quilt Bee is a full service shop offering everything a quilter and sewer needs. We have a beautiful extensive selection of fabrics, the latest books, patterns and notions. We carry wool, a variety of threads and our staff provides superb customer service.

We offer an array of classes for all levels of quilters and sewers. Our Beginning / On-going quilt classes offer an opportunity to develop your skills as well as the ability to choose your own project to work on while receiving excellent instruction from Janet Salcido or Diana Fish.

OQB has a fantastic classroom to accomodate 21 sewers at one time that includes two electrical outlets at each sewing station. Our pinning and cutting table is magnetic which eliminates the need to tape down or clamp your quilt to a table for pinning. It is quite large measuring 6' x 7' and just the right height for comfort.

We have an on-site Long Arm Quilting machine with two professional machine quilters available to help you choose the finish to your quilt.
