Pebble Gilb
I am co-owner of Orange Quilt Bee. My passion for sewing started when I was eight years old. I would sew with my mom as often as she would let me use her sewing machine. Once I was given the gift of a lifetime, my first Featherweight for my tenth birthday, the sewing “obsession” truly took hold of me. I started quilting in high school and have since made well over 400 quilts. I was crushed the day my daughter no longer wanted homemade clothing. My love for fabric has bloomed into much more than just sewing. I worked part time at Leah’s Fabric Gallery for ten years until their closure. I teach specialty quilting classes at several shops and own a Long Arm Machine Quilting business. I have always dreamed of owning a quilt shop and providing a place for others with the same love for fabric and creating that I have. I look forward to seeing you all at the “dream house”, otherwise known as Orange Quilt Bee.
Lisa Wiltse
I am co-owner of Orange Quilt Bee and I am as passionate about garment sewing as I am about quilting. I learned to sew in elementary school and continued throughout high school taking home economics courses. Introduced to quilting in 1998, I spent my free time quilting and sewing while working part time and raising my two children. I began working at Leah’s Fabric Gallery where I met my partner, Pebble. With the resurgence of interest in garment sewing and very limited facilities offering this type of class, I began teaching clothing classes – both beginner level and intermediate, hoping to inspire my students to develop their passion of garment sewing. It has always been my wish to share my love of sewing and fabric and I look forward to meeting new friends!
