Lloyd Askew is the Featherweight Sewing Machine "guru." In this class Lloyd will walk you through disassembling your machine, cleaning, oiling, and adjusting the tension. He will also share his general maintenance tips to care for your machine and keep it in perfect condition. Just bring some machine oil, a flashlight, a screwdriver, fabric, thread and your machine manual.

Machine embroidery classes on Friday evening with Janet and Nancy starts at all levels including from the very beginning if you've recently purchased an embroidery machine or own one but don't know how to use it. Paper piecing the Judy Niemeyer way is a wonderful technique that enables you to sew even the smallest pieces of fabric together with ease and amazing accuracy. Cat Wilson, a Certified Quiltworx instructor, will teach you Judy's paper piecing technique and share her secret tips to success. This on-going class is designed to introduce you to the paper piecing technique through more advanced techniques as you progress. Start any time and take as many classes as you would like to take. This class is offered on a monthly bases.

Join OQB's Nancy Mershon for Quilty Treasures! In this class you will work on your own "quilty treasure" no matter what the project as Nancy brings many years of experience and creativity working with quilts, stitchery, or wool applique . Bring a project to finish or start a new one. Come join us on the 3rd Friday of each month for this fun class.

We have two sessions - choose 9:00 or 9:45. Our 2020 Saturday Sampler begins January 11th and continues on the second Saturday for 12 months. You must attend to get your next block of fabric for free, otherwise there will be a $6.00 charge for each block not picked up at the Saturday Sampler Session.

Got scraps or stash that's overwhelming you? Get ready to make a BIG dent and use it up. This is a quick and fun way to use up lots of odds and ends. Even the UGLY stuff works. For the months of August and September Pam will be teaching the "Scrappy Bento Box."

For those who want to advance their skills or work on a specific project, Lisa and Karen will work with you to complete your projects. Classes will generally be held four consecutive Monday evenings. Announcing our first "Annual Demo Day" at the Orange Quilt Bee, Join us on Saturday, Nov. 28th from 10-4:00 for fun and instructions on some great gift ideas that are simple and easy to make in time for the Gift Giving Season. Small kits will be available for purchase after you seen the Demo. Then you can make them at home. We will have several demos for you to experience.
