POCKET PACKERS CLASS INSTRUCTIONS:
1 Pocket Packer Pattern (Available at the Bee)
Fabric and notions as indicted on the pattern for the style you are making.If your fabric is directional you will need 5/8 yd to be sure your pattern is laying in the right direction, otherwise a fat quarter is sufficient.
We carry the supplies for Annie's patterns.
Other notions: 1/4" or 1/8" double basting tape, Wonder Clips, Stiletto, Pins, marking pencil, etc. As well as all your favorite sewing notions. Optional Thread for top stitching on the bag to match your favorite. A highlighter is helpful for marking things on the pattern you may want to remember. Optional: an iron and ironing pad.
When sewing on vinyl keep the tissue that comes with the cut yardage. It is helpful to use a walking foot, teflon foot (Bernina) or Ultra Glide Foot (Janome) when sewing on vinyl.
Watching the Add-on-Video included in your pattern can be helpful.
PRIOR TO CLASS YOU MUST:
Quilt the pieces indicated in the pattern. If you do not have this done prior to class you will not get very far on the construction of your bag. Cut our everything you are comfortable with and labeled prior to coming to class, don't cut out the bias binding until class.
Bring all your extra fabric in case of an "opps" cut!
