Counted Cross Stitch (Ongoing) with Carolyn (10am-1pm) ($25)
This is a beginning class for anyone who wants to learn Counted Cross Stitch, an easy embroidery technique. Newbies welcome! No previous experience is necessary!
Carolyn Caverly can show you how to “start” and "stop” your stitching which is very easy. A simple starter project has been designed specifically for this class, and you can achieve great results. Your instructor, Carolyn, or as we like to lovingly call her "The Crazy Cat Lady", has been cross stitching for over 25 years and is an avid stitcher.
Once you know the basics you can confidently stitch a wide variety of projects. Carolyn will cover the types of fabrics, supplies and threads, and will cover the different types of resources available to you. It is fun to learn this very enjoyable hobby!
Already an avid cross stitcher but just want to have a group to stitch with or perfect some of your skills? Carolyn can help with that too, so come join her in class. She can't wait to share this creative hobby with you!
The class includes a cross stitch kit with the following:
Hoop
Medium sized piece of fabric
Two needles
Variety of floss skeins
Beginning pattern with instructions
Additional supplies needed:
Small scissors
