Holiday Reverse Applique Sweatshirt w/Janet (12:30pm-3:30pm) ($32.50)

Join us on Sunday, November 30th for a creative and cozy sewing session! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the reverse appliqué technique — a fun method that lets you showcase colorful fabric from beneath your garment.

You’ll start by layering a printed fabric inside your sweatshirt or t-shirt, stencil your chosen shape (think holiday trees, ornaments, stockings, stars, or hearts), then carefully cut away portions of the top fabric to reveal the design underneath.

This project is perfect for all skill levels and makes a great personalized holiday gift! By the end of class, you’ll leave with a finished or nearly finished custom top that’s as unique as you are.

Supply List

Provided in class (or available for purchase):

Stencils or templates for holiday shapes

Students should bring:

Fabric scissors and marking tools
A pre-washed sweatshirt or t-shirt (100% cotton or cotton-blend works best)
1 Fat Quarter of a fun printed cotton fabric for the appliqué
Matching or contrasting thread
Basic sewing kit (pins, scissors, seam ripper, etc.)
Small embroidery scissors for detail cutting (optional)
