Collage Applique (10:30am-4pm) ($38)

This is a BASIC supply list for the collage class.

Each student may choose any one of the Fiberwork’s collage patterns to make in class. I TEACH THIS CLASS WITH OPTIONS TO LAURA HEINE'S PROCESS. YOU MAY NOT NEED THE AMOUNT OF STEAM-A-SEAM 2 STATED ON THE PATTERN.

All students MUST have their own pattern due to copyright laws.
Since each design is different, please be sure to read the fabric requirements and additional supplies needed as stated on the pattern supply list.

Supplies
Pattern Ease as stated on pattern (available at OQB)
(Pattern Ease preferred over Voile)
Steam-A- Seam 2  You will need 2 yards to work with in class.
Rotary Cutter w/new blade
Scissors – Karen K. Buckley scissors - truly the best for cutting fused fabrics to prevent fraying.
Scissors – for cutting fabric
#2 pencil - permanent marker
Mini iron & ironing pad (Must bring your own pressing station) OQB does not allow fusible on our ironing boards.
Applique Pressing Sheet
Basic sewing supplies (pins, scissors, etc.)

I TEACH THIS CLASS VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE PROCESS LAURA HEINE INSTRUCTS IN HER PATTERNS.  THAT SAID, A SEWING MACHINE MAY BE NEEDED IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEW YOUR BACKGROUND FABRICS TOGETHER AFTER THE INITIAL DISCUSSION OF HOW I WORK COLLAGE DIFFERENTLY THAN LAURA HEINE.

Fabric Requirements
Bring fabrics as stated on the collage pattern you’ve selected. All designs / patterns require different fabrics.

Must do prior to class
1. Trace your pattern onto Pattern Ease with a #2 pencil (Bring original)
2. Nicely press all of your collage fabrics
