2023 SATURDAY SAMPLER INFORMATION

**Saturday Sampler begins Saturday, January 14th at 9:00am OR 9:45am**

 One of our most popular programs we offer is our Saturday Sampler which typically runs for a year and results in the completion of a beautiful quilt.  For our upcoming program you can choose from three color ways:  Kaffe - very colorful with a neutral background; 1930 prints - on a Kona snow background; or Halloween-themed prints on a light grey background. Each month OQB will select the fabrics and pattern for one of the 12" blocks. The quilt will be scrappy and will include many different prints.  At the end of the program, you set your blocks as desired or purchase a finishing kit to complete as shown in the pattern.

• *How It Works:  You must attend the meeting (either the 9:00am or 9:45am) on the second Saturday of each month. We will give a step-by-step demonstration of that month’s quilt block.  We may also introduce a new technique or tool, and information about upcoming events, classes and products.  You go home and sew the block. Bring it to the next meeting and the new block is FREE!

  
  

  *Cost:  Registration Fee *$15.00 *Pattern $15.00 * First month’s block $ 6.00
  
  

  *Meeting Times:  The second Saturday of the month beginning January 2023 and continuing for 12 months. The first session starts at 9:00am, second session begins at 9:45am.   Each session should last no longer than 30 minutes. You may attend either meeting time but must be on time!

  *$6 Block Rule:  Blocks 2 - 12 are free if you pick up your block during the designated times with your COMPLETED block.  No exceptions!!

  
  

  • *If you miss the meeting or your block from the prior month is not complete, you may purchase your block for $6.00 plus tax.

  • *A friend can purchase your block for you during or after the meeting for $6.00 plus tax.

  • *A “life got in the way pass” will be given to each participant during the first meeting and can be used for one missed/incomplete block.  

  
  

  *Additional Blocks: If you want to make both colorways you can get only one free block per month.  You must pay for the additional blocks. You will only be charged one registration fee and one pattern fee.

  
  

  *Finishing Kit:   An optional kit which will consist of fabrics used in the blocks will be available for purchase at a later date.
